    words from manda

These are some of my favourite things....some of my profoundly inspiring people, books, music,
and thoughts. I find more every month; some have sustained me for years. I read them, quote
them, ponder them, sing them with ferocious fury or  heart-bustingly happily in the car and
scribble all over them. This is how we help each other. By keeping the fires in each others' bellies
alight and life-affirming. Feel free to watch, read, listen and fire yerself up...

FooFighters. The Pretender. This has kept me going more than once when faced with intransigent blockages. And always works. Brilliant.
Absolutely. Just absolutely.
This was tweeted out Aug 2017: "Dear @realDonaldTrump, attached is our letter of resignation from the President's Committee on the Arts & the Humanities @PCAH_gov". Read the first letter of each para. Ye-e-e-es.
The essence of disruption. Let us never, ever forget our sense of outrage. For that way complacency takes root.
1 Million Women. Genius. I'm one. One of a Million. :)
Let us not forget the sheer, visceral Joy Of Disruption. This just makes me happy from the toes up. Enjoy. :)
If I had to recommend one read to anyone, everyone, it would be this. This is what we sow, and grow, and reap. Unless we decide not to.
A beautiful book of a man simply doing. It stills the heart and fire the belly all at the same time.
Insightful. I think we all need to know more about this...watch out for more on our Cafe Disruptif programme...
Good Trouble : This magazine is just gorgeously right up my street. The sort of think that you look at and think OhMyGod Yes...
This woman sits your arse down on a chair and sets your head on fire. Just watch her once. You'll get what I mean. This is what we should be teaching in our language and literature classes: THIS.
