There always have been pages that disrupt. In the old days they got burnt. Still do, in some places. But right now, there are brilliant books everywhere. We've started to collect, and share, our favourites right here.
All we need to do is read them. And argue with them. Scribble your own responses in the margin, highlight, score through, underline, cross out and disagree. Lend them, borrow them, buy them, share them. Then talk about them to someone else. The point is they're there to make us think. And reading each of these is like setting off a box of firecrackers between your ears.
We're recommending our favourites below...if you have one to suggest, add it to the comments box or contact us here. We'll get it up here. They all have a link to the site that will tell you where to find your nearest local independent book shop. 'Cos we don't do that ama*on thing on here. Sorta defeats the object of the whole dang website...
Each of these books talks about economics AND community AND the environment - that's part of the reason they're considered disruptive. (We do like our silos. ) But as we know ... the world definitely doesn't work like that. So this very broad catergorisation is just that. Really, really broad. And it's just to show that people are now thinking disruptively *in all quarters* .....
